The Fredericksburg Area Museum is excited to announce our upcoming exhibition Living Legacies: African American History in the Fredericksburg Area...and we need your help!
About the Project:
We are asking community members to contribute images for the Living Legacies gallery wall, which will close out the exhibit.
If you interested, we are looking for images related to African American community in Fredericksburg, and we are hoping you’ll be willing to contribute photos from your personal and family collections to showcase the diversity and beauty of African American community in our city.
We want pictures of grandparents, of reunions, of picnics and get togethers and goofy moments and serious moments and everything in between.

How to Submit Your Photo:
1. Click on "Contribute an Image" below.
2. Choose "Image" from the dropdown menu and provide the following details:
3. Fill out information about your image using the form. This includes:
- A description of the image. If possible, please tell us who or what is the subject of the photograph, as well as when and where it was taken. Any additional context is appreciated!
4. Submit
Once all information is complete, click "Contribute" to share your item!
